Today (Tuesday 31st December, 2024) marks a significant milestone in the annals of the Dr. Osahon Enabulele Foundation, with the visit to the Corporate head office of Independent Television and Radio, Glass House, Benin City.
The Director General (DG), Dr. Osahon Enabulele, in company of the Chairman, Board of Trustees, Prof. Dominic Osaghae, Prof. Joan Enabulele, Dr. (Mrs.) Helen Eboreime, Dr. Patrick Okundia, and other distinguished Foundation members embarked on a familiarization/courtesy visit to Independent Television & Radio. The Foundation was received by the General Manager (GM), Engr. Elvis Obaseki; Executive Director, Lady Celerina Ojomoh; Asst. General Manager, News, Eghosa Agbonlahor; Asst. General Manager, Programme, Dr. Sunny Duke Okosun, and other Management Team.
The DG, in an address, outlined critical gaps in society to include leadership, healthcare, human capacity development and quality education, and highlighted the increased need to engage these issues with a view to bridging these gaps for the overall good of Nigerians. Similarly, the BOT Chairman, Prof. Dominic Osaghae, averred that Nigeria is inundated with myriad of developmental issues, noting that the Foundation is one platform to reach out and correct the anomalies in society.
In a remark, the GM eulogized the Foundation’s Founder for setting the pace in addressing the gaps in society and promised that the station would partner with the Foundation to impact lives of citizens. He canvassed for the Foundation’s intervention to improve the health and well-being of all categories of citizens including Staff of the Station, and pledged the station’s readiness to collaborate with the Foundation. The visit climaxed with group photographs. Overall, the visit was highly impactful and successful.
