In a gracious courtesy visit held at the State Headquarters of Independent and Television (ITV), Dr. Enabulele, the leading founder of the DOE Foundation, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the management and staff of ITV for their substantial support during the launch colloquium of his foundation on January 29th.
During the visit, Dr. Enabulele emphasized that the success of the event would not have been possible without the partnership from ITV and the invaluable support from Sir Chief Gabriel Osawarie Igbinedion, the founder and proprietor. “We thought we should come to thank you, to appreciate you, and to say that the level of support you gave us that day and even before it was immeasurable,” he stated.
The launch colloquium, which attracted many community members and personalities, was a pivotal event aimed at fostering dialogue on pressing issues facing Nigeria. Dr. Enabulele highlighted the impressive turnout of ITV’s management, including the Managing Director and Executive Director, who were physically present at the event. This, he said, underscored the station’s commitment to social progress and community engagement.
Dr. Enabulele reiterated that the foundation’s work extends far beyond a single event. “This is not a one-day initiative; we are committed to changing the narrative of our society in fundamental ways. The feedback we received from the launch was overwhelmingly positive, with many attendees impressed by the learning points presented,” he shared. He believes that the foundation has the potential to empower individuals and communities, encouraging citizens to engage actively without solely relying on government intervention.
The foundation is poised to roll out various initiatives focused on leadership, governance, and social philanthropy. Dr. Enabulele announced plans for future programming, including leadership workshops aimed at youth and educational initiatives at primary and secondary levels. He affirmed their collaboration with the Ministry of Education to ensure that education is viewed as a vital pillar of society. “Education is not a scam; we need to encourage our people to pursue knowledge through proper channels,” he asserted.
Looking ahead, Dr. Enabulele confirmed that preparations for the next International Summit are already underway, emphasizing that it will not be a one-day event but will span several days to maximize impact.
“We want to make sure Benin resonates within the sphere of Nigeria as a hub for leadership discussions,” he added..
The visit concluded with the presentation of a plaque by Dr. Osahon Enabulele, who proudly awarded the DOE Foundation plaque of honor to the esteemed MD, Mr. Elvis Obaseki, for his explicit support in strengthening future collaboration aimed at furthering community engagement and promoting democracy and civic participation.
In response, Mr. Elvis Obaseki, Managing Director at Independent and Television, expressed deep respect, admiration, and gratitude for the visit. He stated that the partnership with Dr. Enabulele’s foundation exemplifies a commitment to empowering the public with information and his significant global influence in communication.
